Prof. Sudhir Kumar - Director, Health Management Research Institute Prof. Sudhir Kumar, a Doctorate in Health Management from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, is an International public health expert. He has a distinguished academic, research and program management career. He has worked with premier national and international health care organizations and research institutions such as Aga Khan Health Services, ORG-MARG, AC-Nielsen, Blackstone Group in India and IIHMR. Prof. Sudhir Kumar established the social research division for the Blackstone Group Inc, USA in India. Later he joined the Aga Khan Health Services, India as its General Manager and reached the level of program director. Prof. Sudhir Kumar holds exceptional combination of Health Research, Public Health Program Management, and Health Management Training experiences. He has coordinated and conducted several training programs both nationally and internationally designed for health policy makers, health planners, chief medical officers, health and hospital managers, which have been sponsored by UNFPA, WHO, UNICEF, GTZ, IUATLD, DANIDA, USAID, WB and various governments. Mr. Anand Mariappan – Lecturer & Training Program Coordinator, HMRI Mr. Anand Mariappan, Associate Fellow of Australian College of Health Service Executives (AFCHSE) is an International Health Care Management expert holds Post Graduate Degree in Health and Hospital Management from Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur and a Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy. Additionally he holds Post Graduate training in Personnel and Human Resource Management plus a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Insurance Management. His areas of interest are Public Health Management, Hospital Management and Health Insurance. He has gained knowledge and experience in health services management field through various assignments with premier organizations. His last assignment was with M.V. Diabetes Care (P) Ltd., India under the areas of Operations and Business Development, which was just after his return from Australia from Rehab Care Group and Community Health Services. Further he also served as an administrator in Kumaran Specialties Hospital. His rich international experience earned him a wealth of knowledge in management, operations, community health, rehabilitation and disability management. Mr. Jatinder Bir Singh, Senior Research Officer Mr. Jatinder Bir Singh has joined HMRI as Research Officer. A Post Graduate in Economics from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India, he has specialized in Quantitative Techniques and Data Management. As Research Officer of Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur he has contributed to reproductive health project, national tuberculosis control programme, AIDS control programme evaluation, anti malaria programme evaluation, health systems development projects and quality assurance projects. He has been trained in managing l arge s cale s urveys and c omputer a pplication in Quantitative and Qualitative Data Management. He has developed workshop modules on Girl Child and Tenth Five Year Plan in India. His areas of current interest are HIV/AIDS and monitoring and evaluation of community based health and population programs. Mr. Joice. M.M., Project Associate Mr. Joice. M.M. joined HMRI as Project Associate. He holds a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Nagpur University, Maharashtra, India. He served Research and Development Initiative, Delhi andNational Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT), at various project positions. He has involved with health infrastructure projects, health surveys and health journalism. |
